Also there is a Boy to whom I have been attracted with a capital UNF since we were like twelve and to whom I spoke for the first time in about a year this morning.

Now, I had my hair pinned up and back because it was windy this morning and I was reading at mass, meaning I’d be on the altar and everyone would be looking at me so I didn’t want to look like a walking talking tumbleweed.

Boy comes up to me when we were talking to my dad’s cousin’s wife outside the chapel and was all “Hey, your hair really suits you tied up like that.”

Personally I prefer my hair down because I think it better suits the shape of my face, but I went with it bc aside from a pretty face I always got on pretty well with Boy.

But then:

“We all would have been more interested if you’d worn your hair up like that more often.”

Suddenly Boy is not attractive anymore.
